The Basics

Hospital of Emotions is a ticketed art exhibit in Los Angeles beginning May 27th, 2026. Rebecca Ann Carver will be making her artistic debut in installation art at this exhibit.

Interview

What emotion did you pick and why?

For the exhibit my emotion is “Joy” and I picked it because that’s what I want to bring into the world.

Can you tell us a little bit more without giving anything away?

Sure, for my room transformation I’ll be recreating an outdoor lanscape inside. Whenever I have traveled and found myself in nature where I could look left to right and not see another human soul there was joy and relief. A deep exhale of not having to perform being ok or mask, where I could just be myself in the world. It’s hard to find that kind of relief in cities so I’m trying to replicate that as best as I can for the people of Los Angeles.

Have you seen anyone else’s rooms?

I’ve seen bits and pieces of other rooms. The thing that is pretty special is every room is so wildly different from the one next to it. The range of the different types of art you’ll see and how they are transforming each room is so unique.

What’s next?

Right now I’m focusing on completing this creative project which is a pretty big pivot from my usual projects I work on. I'm having an absolute blast though bringing this to life and would 100% do again if a museum or event needed an art installation and asked me. I have a lot more ideas I’d like to the public to see and interact with.
